ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS.

Wow... And the motorcyclist didn't even do anything. The guy in the car was just automatically an asshat to him. That was just ridiculous.

There are a few frames missing from (timestamp) 18:18:19 - 18:18:24.

The frames when he punched the car's rear view mirror off.

I am pretty sure the motorcyclist damaged the car in more ways then 1 (side mirror, someone else said rear mirror as well). Still no word as to why they were pissed at each other.

Bike owner attacked the car owner. Car owner made sure he couldn't be followed. I see it as self defense.

I get that.

But the car owner also put the bike owners life in his hands at the beginning by cutting him off and break checking him. I'll admit, the bike owner over reacted at the beginning. But backing into another PERSON (because he was standing right there) is definitely not a warranted reaction.

So much wrong with this 2.5 minutes.

I can't blame the car for cutting him off the first time. His closing speed was pretty fast. Even if the car did look, he was a ways back.

The second one was 100% the car's fault. The bike was laying on the horn and right in the car's mirrors.

The third one was malicious.

Trying to pin in a car with a bunch of motorcycles is asking for trouble, and is never a good idea.

Then it all goes downhill. Trying to get in the car, punching off the mirror, letting your guard down and giving the car an opportunity to back into you.

I blame everyone.

The brake check was uncalled for, but you realize before the car was attacked the bikes surrounded the car and slowed the car way down right? If you had a gang of bikes on all sides slowing you way down how would you react to that? After getting attacked by someone who can both out run me, out maneuver me, and squeeze next to traffic knowing that I might find myself stopped at a light and they have the ability to pull a gun on me? You've got a strong strong self defense case in disabling that motorcycle.

I also wouldn't exactly say he cut the bike off. Traffic parked on the right caused him to straddle the lane. The bike still had plenty of room to pass on the left and at the time the bike appeared to be traveling at approximately the same speed. I couldn't tell if he was going to pass the car or not.

To be completely honest I was more afraid for the driver of the car. Especially when the group of bikes swarmed the car giving it no lane and slowing it way down.

The car cut the bike off three times

The car switched lanes to go around slowing/stopped traffic. The probably didn’t see the bikes coming, because of the difference in speed - I award no points

The car switched lanes again for the same reason. All while the bike was on his horn, and right behind them - Point goes to bike

The car intentionally made the third lane change in retaliation for the horn/finger/shaking fist – Point goes to bike

Car pulled out blindly right at the beginning, pissed off the guy on the bike. Guy on the bike taunted him slightly at about 13 seconds in, car swerves towards him at 15 seconds for no reason. Bikes start harassing him. Then the brake check, then the confrontation at the light, then the ass hat tries to run him over. Not saying the guy on the bike is in the right here, but the guy in the car should not be driving.

I don't think being surrounded by a group of angry bikers and slowed down by them is exactly harassment... that's both threatening and intimidating. It was followed up by an actual attack...

I have only sympathy for the bike (not the rider, just the machine that was hurt). As a motorcyclist I've been cut off unintentionally (like I believe the first one in the video was), I've been pushed into the shoulder by cars not seeing me and trying to change lanes while next to me, etc. The best thing to do in this situation is just shake your head, calm yourself down, and not escalate the situation. If I were the biker in the first situation, if I hadn't already slowed down seeing that merging into my lane was the car's only option, yes I would have laid on my horn to let the driver know what they have done, but after that I would have backed off knowing that the driver probably isn't paying attention and the more time I spend near that car, the more likely they are to cause an accident.

When people cut me off. I make a sarcastic comment to myself and sit behind them. That is it. Because it happens every single friggin day! Deal with it. Leave the egos and emotions at home and just freaking drive. The car made a small mistake and it escalated from there because everyone involved could not let it go. After a while the car was just trying to get away.

When the car backed into them...well its russia. Just be glad he didnt shoot their ass when they swarmed the car.

In fairness, the bikers weren't exactly being nice. What car drivers (and many of our fellow commentors) pretty much completely fail to realize is, when we're riding, it's our (rider's) life and limb at risk in almost any bike-to-car physical interaction. Including the 'little' lane departures early on... when your choice is 'fall into oncoming traffic trying to avoid the unnecessary, unsafe lane change in front of you' or 'be PUNTED into oncoming traffic by an idiot or inattentive driver while he swerves with no warning' the rider is GOING TO BE UPSET!

Having said the above: if the guy driving the car had just done the apology wave and STAYED IN HIS LANE after the first one little lane skitch, everything would have been fine. The guys saying closing speed in that first couple seconds are INCORRECT. The guy is in the slow lane. If you need to move over a little to avoid an opening door of a parked car, you BRAKE FIRST while looking ahead, then signal, then check your mirrors THEN move over.

The two wheel hate around here, for a motor vehicle enthusiast, site just blows me away, and makes me pretty happy with my recent decision to keep the bikes off city streets and hit the track or trailer to back-country instead.

**I will point out that I've (pretty much, in some cases barely) survived much worse drivers than that in my area by simply assuming that they were in fact trying to kill me at all times. I can't really remember seeing someone prove me wrong either.

I'd have shot that motorcyclist! No one attempts to open my door or reach in with malicious attempt. Yes the car was at fault in the beginning, but a simple flash of the peace symbol would have ended that. Everything else is on the kingpin biker and his cronies.
